Mirror Ball

Mirror Ball

This was more of an experiment or exercise for an old lens that I have. It’s a 500mm f 8.0 Nikkor Reflex-Mirror which is a mirror lens design. I bought it around 1985 which makes it 27 years old yet it still works with today’s modern DSLRs. That’s one of the things I love about Nikon. The image is a cliche but the old lens must have been happy to see some sunshine after being hidden away for some time. Oh and since my camera is a DX-format Nikon, the lens comes out to 750mm. I’ve shot with it handheld in bright sunlight with passable results although of course, it’s not as sharp as today’s modern lenses but it works 🙂
